Hours: 38.75 per week (Monday β Friday, 9:30 AM β 5:15 PM)

The Role
The Estates Officer will play a key role in the management of the estate, ensuring rental income is maximised while maintaining and improving the property portfolio. Key responsibilities include:
β’ Managing landlord and tenant matters, including lease renewals, rent reviews, and tenancy agreements
β’ Overseeing lettings and tenancy changes, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance with regulations
β’ Financial management, including forecasting rental income and overseeing service charges
β’ Handling business rates and council tax, working with local authorities and advisors
β’ Administering car parking arrangements, ensuring efficient allocation and compliance
β’ Maintaining accurate records, including tenancy data and financial reports
β’ Supporting committee work, preparing reports, minutes, and contributing to strategic decisions
Whatβs Needed?
The ideal candidate will have:
β’ A property-related NVQ-3 or equivalent (RICS or similar qualifications preferred)
β’ Extensive experience in property management, including commercial and residential lettings
β’ Knowledge of the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954 and relevant housing legislation
β’ Strong financial management skills, including forecasting and cash flow planning
β’ Excellent negotiation and communication skills
β’ Experience working with high-profile tenants or within a historic estate is desirable
β’ IT proficiency, including databases and Microsoft Office (experience with Planon software is an advantage)
