About the role
We are seeking a Materials Planner to join our dynamic team on a fixed term contract. The Materials Planner will be responsible for planning and ordering from a short-term perspective (+6 weeks). Support Buying on procurement requirements, forward planning, developing relationships with Suppliers to manage call off’s and to deliver a reduction in working capital. Managing the delivery of new materials aligned to NPD plan, ensuring launch requirements are met and waste risks are managed accordingly.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with short term materials planner to ensure stock holding aligned to budget requirements.
- Working collaboratively across the Supply Chain function, wider teams within IGC and a range of suppliers.
- Collaborate with Purchasing on challenging MOQ’s/Lead times/Prices and update the system.
- Ensure delivery of NPD lines – all materials are set up, requirements known and orders placed.
- Ensure alignment of NPD meetings and plan integration.
- Processing purchase orders (PO’s) relating to long-term raw materials including handling quantity invoice queries and receipting PO’s.
- Managing delisted products including stock exposure and finished goods requirements using the delist form.
Qualifications and Experience:
Required – Proven experience of materials management and working within a Supply Chain role
Required – Experience of using multiple systems such as Microsoft Navision, Microsoft Excel and various others Supply Chain based systems
Desirable – Food manufacturing experience
Desirable – commercial awareness gained from previous role(s)
