Huxley Bertram Engineering Limited is seeking a motivated, reliable and detail-oriented Goods In and Despatch Coordinator to join our successfully developing manufacturing / engineering company, near Cambridge. This role works within the Logistics Team processing goods in, despatch, stocking, issuing parts, and placing orders for the business. The role will suit someone experienced in working in a logistics / manufacturing environment, who enjoys being active, has good attention to detail, and who works well collaboratively with others.

Why Goods In and Despatch Coordinator

This role is part of the Logistics Team responsible for receiving and processing goods coming into the business and ensuring goods are located and stored appropriately. The role also processes UK parts despatch requests and assists with packing requirements for EU and Rest of World shipments.

Similarly, the role is responsible for stocking and replenishment of supplies such as Fasteners, Fittings and consumable items including Personal Protective Equipment.

The role works closely with and gives support to department colleagues, and also supports the purchasing and accounts team with day-to-day purchasing and invoice processing

What You\’ll Do

As Goods In and Despatch Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for receiving goods and matching Delivery Notes to the correct PO
  • Signing for and allocating parts to projects as they are received
  • Digital and hard copy record keeping of goods in/goods out documentation
  • Efficiently co-ordinating packaging and dispatch of finished goods, product returns and samples; working alongside colleagues who have responsibility for export and import requirements
  • Notifying project engineers and production teams when urgent stock is received
  • Responsible for loading and unloading goods using the forklift
  • Assisting with maintaining material stores for the workshop
  • Assisting with maintaining and managing HB stocklist
  • Supporting project and production teams with project set up, clear up and returning redundant items to stock
  • Maintaining the goods in and warehouse areas, ensuring H&S requirements are met by keeping all areas tidy, ensuring skips are emptied, pallets are stored correctly etc.
  • Provide assistance and support to other department colleagues in Facilities & Building Maintenance as directed
  • Providing support to the purchasing department as directed by the department head
