About the Role
We are seeking a Support Staff – Imports to join a leading global manufacturing company. This position is responsible for managing daily import and customs activities with freight forwarders to ensure parts and products flow across international borders in compliance with regulatory requirements.. As part of a global team, you will collaborate across multiple business units to develop high-quality, impactful work.
The Role:
As a Customs Administrator, you’ll manage import and customs activities to ensure the smooth flow of goods across international borders. You’ll collaborate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure compliance with UK regulations while optimizing processes for efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and compliant import clearance of goods.
- Provide accurate customs documentation and clearance instructions.
- Work closely with brokers and internal teams to resolve queries and discrepancies.
- Monitor and report compliance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Manage and maintain records to meet audit requirements.
