Job Title: Fire Engineer Industry: Fire Protection Services Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 per annum Location: London Job Description Daniel Owen is looking for a skilled Fire Engineer to start with one of our clients based within London. This Fire Alarm Engineer will be employed on a permanent basis with a company Van and Fuel Card provided. In this role, you will be responsible for completing a range of tasks assigned to you-including installation, maintenance, servicing and repairs of Fire Alarms. You will work across a variety of domestic and commercial properties, primarily within the social housing and local authority sectors. All work must be completed to a high standard, using your technical expertise in line with industry regulations and company expectations. Duties and Responsibilities * Interpret fire alarm or AOV drawings and specifications where required and carry out installations accordingly * Work safely and in accordance with all relevant Health & Safety and Fire Alarm Regulations * Demonstrate experience with a range of Fire Alarm control panels and equipment, including closed protocol systems * Carry out scheduled servicing of Fire Alarm * Maintain and repair Fire Alarm including system modifications * Complete full system installations and upgrades * Accurately complete all paperwork and job reports using the Oneserve application * Ensure full compliance with BS 7671 and BS 5839 Fire Alarm regulations * Attend company-provided training sessions as required * Participate in performance improvement programmes and regular appraisals * Liaise effectively with office staff and supervisors to resolve queries * Work to meet company-set KPIs * Carry out any additional duties reasonably required by your line manager or company directors Required Skills, Attributes & Experience * In-depth knowledge of the Fire industry * Experience in installation, maintenance, servicing, programming, and commissioning * Strong understanding of fire safety standards and relevant legislation * Proactive and responsible approach to Health & Safety * Confidence using mobile devices to complete job sheets and certification * Excellent communication skills-both verbal and written * Highly organised, reliable, and able to work independently * Strong accountability, ownership and integrity Qualifications * Level 3 Electrical Installation * FIA training and certification * Minimum of 2 years\’ experience in the fire safety industry * FIA AO Level 3 in Fire Detection & Alarm Design Theory and Regulatory Requirements * Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months Benefits We have established a supportive, team-focused culture where collaboration and communication are at the heart of how we operate.
