Cluster Sales Manager (2 hotels)
ACluster Sales Manager shall generate and develop hotels sales by bringing an expertise and proven success within sales and the corporate market and exceed in developing and implementing sales plans. The ideal Cluster Sales Manager will maximize revenue development from all market segments with a strong emphasis on corporate business and will bean effective ambassador for hotel and reach the set targets.
1) Shendish Manor Hotel & Golf Course- Address: London Rd, Hemel Hempstead HP3 0AA
Shendish Manor Hotel & Golf Course is set in 160 acres of parkland and formal gardens. The hotel features 70 spacious and beautiful bedrooms, a relaxing lounge area and the delightful Orangery restaurant complete with bar and its own terrace leading out onto the formal Dutch Gardens. The superb conference and banqueting facilities have a choice of styles and size of rooms from 2 to 400 delegates for diverse array of events.
2) Manor of Groves Hotel Golf & Health Club-Address: High Wych, Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire, CM21 0JU
Manor of Groves Hotel Golf and Country Club offers a peaceful and tranquil setting in the Hertfordshire countryside. The hotel boasts 80 bedrooms and an onsite leisure club which includes a fitness suite, steam room, sauna and an indoor swimming pool as well as a beauty Spa. We offer conference and banqueting facilities; catering for up to 400 guests, we can host all types of events; from wedding, training workshops, exhibitions to private dinners and balls.
The successful Cluster Sales Manager will undertake the following duties:
Increase occupancy, average rate and profits of the hotel through proactive approach to planning and approaching the corporate market
Represent the corporate sales functions and needs of the hotel in the development of the Companys business development strategies.
Strong knowledge of local areas of the 2 hotels to drive potential corporate business sales
Implement and oversee the corporate sales account management system.
Assist in the setting of personal targets for the sales team and regularly review to ascertain team and individual performance.
Develop and implement a well-defined and focussed Sales Plan with specific activities for the corporate market.
Establish and maintain active working relationships with selected key accounts via individual account management sales plans.
Co-ordinate and attend specific industry events and trade shows.
Initiate and facilitate targeted client familiarisation trips.
Oversee and manage regular direct mail campaigns as per the Sales Plan
Conduct product training to agents/corporate business in line with the Regional Sales Plan.
Keep abreast of, and report on, market trends, competitor activities and client feedback in month end reports.
Adhere to the hotels' rules and regulations and in particular the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
Ensure that the Department's operational budget is adhered to, within the costs and expenditure approved.
To comply with local legislation and be conversant and act in accordance with any such matters relating to your department.
To be flexible and extend job duties if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs.
To conduct and contribute to regular departmental communications meetings.
Cluster Sales Manager Skills and Requirements
- Exceptional customer care skills.
- Ability to work in a busy environment
- Knowledge of Local area Hertfordshire and local county is highly preferrable.
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues across the hotel
- Constantly improve knowledge and show a desire to learn, attend companys trainings
- Take a responsible approach towards timekeeping and attendance to ensure the department runs efficiently, and assist in the event of absence cover
- Maintain high levels of enthusiasm and commitment to every task undertaken
- Good communication skills
- Proficiency in English Language is strongly preferred
- Knowledge ofRezlinx/guestline system is preferable
- Previous experience in hotel environment is a requisite
