Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, you will:
- Carry out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs.
- Work on a wide range of plant and equipment in a busy manufacturing environment.
- Collaborate with a team of multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers.
- Ensure equipment operates efficiently and downtime is kept to a minimum.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Formal mechanical engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Ideally apprentice trained in a mechanically
- Proven experience in a manufacturing, heavy engineering, or industrial environment
- Strong problem solving skills and a hands-on approach to mechanical maintenance
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors and gearboxes is desirable
