Interim Lawyer - VC/Start-up Consultancy

A boutique firm servicing start-up and scale-up SMEs and VC-backed clients is looking for a Corporate / Commercial Lawyer to join their team on an initial 9 month contract commencing by mid-March. Central London location, hybrid 3/2 day split. Potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

Acting as an extension of the legal team for their clients, often working directly with Founders and CEOs, you will hold a broad role covering:

• supporting on corporate transactions, drafting and negotiating related documentation and due diligence
• drafting various commercial contracts such as technology, vendor and software licensing agreements, service contracts and terms of business
• advising on data privacy and GDPR matters
• IP matters
• providing advice on employment law
• general legal support as required

To be considered for this opportunity you will be 3+ years PQE as a guide, ideally with experience gained as an in-house lawyer within a scale-up environment. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment, working with c-suite stakeholders and founders with a commercial and pragmatic approach.
