The Europe/ANZ Ice Cream Business Unit contributes ca 40% to the global IC business and has the ambition to accelerate underlying sales growth whilst stepping up underlying operating profit growth and ROIC. The ambition requires a high level of value creation, transformation and process re-design, which will be part of the new company establishment journey. The IC Finance function plays a pivotal role – supporting strategic business decisions, providing relentless focus on the cash and value, while setting up a strong stewardship function in a highly volatile environment.
The Ice Cream Financial Controller UKI will play a vital role in the entity’s financial reporting and controllership activities. As these processes will be set up independently from Unilever, you will get the opportunity to be involved in the process of setting up a new entity and handing over critical activities from one UL teams.
The role will report to the UKI Ice Cream Value Creation Demand Partner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In the short term, the priority will be to set TMI, Brand Marketing Investment & Overheads Controlling in the new organization. In the medium term it is expected to evolve to a wider role.

Financial controlling Trade Investment

TTS budget control, Rebate and Overdue management for all channels

In month rebate and reviews incl detailed analysis on in-month performance and variances.

Controlling Brand Marketing Investment:

Transition to a new BMI forecasting tool (Plan My Spend) instead of MyBMI

New CC structure vs. the current IO structure

Set Plan/Budget, track and partner corrective actions

Set Plan/Budget, track and partner corrective actions

Establishment support

Play a role in the transition of Controller and Cash responsibilities from Unilever UKI to the UKI Ice Cream legal entities

Ensure the UKI Statutory Reporting, Financial Accounting & drive Process excellence

Ensure Proactive Risk Management & Controls for UKI

Monitor delivery Cash targets

Tax Compliance: Coordination with Ice Cream & External Tax authorities on direct/indirect tax compliances

Professional qualification (CA/ACMA/MBA/Masters or equivalent).

Experience in areas of financial accounting, controlling and risk management

FMCG or comparable industry experience preferred

Excellent commercial acumen credentials with a proven track record on delivery

Experience in managing in-market control framework, cash and stewardship preferred

Financial forecasting and cash up exposure, with a track record in driving Forecast accuracy

High degree of flexibility and ability to quickly understand new topics
