The vacancy is for a Battery Workshop Technician working at the Satair UK facility near London Heathrow airport. The workshop operates on a shift pattern Monday to Friday. Early shift 6am-2pm and late shift 12am -8pm.

The successful applicant will join the maintenance team. Satair UK maintain batteries from all aviation sectors, passenger, cargo, corporate jet, military and helicopters. All battery technologies are also covered: NiCd, Lead acid, lithium.

Technical responsibilities:

Maintain batteries in strict accordance with the relative OMM/CMM and standard working procedures

Complete and maintain clear neat workshop records

Work as part of a team

Complete shift responsibilities

Identify issues arising from maintenance regime and provide solutions for issue resolution

Completion of shift handover

Carry out AOG roster duties

Scrap batteries and prepare for recycling as required

Resolve warranty claims

Release EASA/CAA form 1 certificate

Assist quality manager in the completion of internal and external audits

Carry out other duties as director by manager or shift supervisor

Keep working areas neat and tidy

BTEC diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or electromechanical)

Experience in working on Aircraft component maintenance ATA C3 C6 C8
