Overview: We are currently seeking a Concrete Plant Batching Operative to join our team at Blackmountain Quarry. As a Concrete Plant Batching Operative your role would be to safely, effectively and efficiently carryout all duties associated with the production of Ready-mix Concrete production at designated concrete batching plant. More about what you will do Operate concrete batching plant producing all types of ready-mix concrete in a safe and efficient manner to specification. Follow all company Safety, Health and Environmental procedures and policy. Liaise between central shipping and mixer haulage regarding deliveries and load sequencing. Manage raw material stocks and ensure adequate stocks in place for work in hand, Cement, Sand, aggregates and admixtures. Ensure plant is properly cleaned out after every shift ready for new shift Ensure all safety specific equipment is maintained and operational, particularly isolation and lockouts, captive keys and plant guarding. Ensure plant maintains all QSRMC standards records and actions Carryout regular recorded plant maintenance and safety inspections organise preventative maintenance and report any maintenance or safety issues to management. Maintain and regularly check calibrations servicing and identifying potential issues Assist management in scheduling planned and routine maintenance/ servicing. Issued purchase order for issue or approval for good or services required for your plant following company purchasing procedure. Take active role in plant audits quality, safety and environmental with internal and external bodies. Assist in safe management of employees and subcontractors inductions, issuing safe systems of work and risk assessment to relevant authorised contractors Follow all company policy and procedures and maintain accurate documentation relating to stock control and inspections.
