Dual Services Cleaning Manager

As Dual Services Cleaning Manager, you\’ll be responsible for the operations of the team and for the delivery of the overall operational & financial targets on cleaning contract. Whilst able to delegate cleaning responsibilities to your team, you\’ll maintain the full operational ownership ensuring all deliverables.

The role will involve proactively maintaining regular engagement with key contacts in line with client expectations, consistently developing of strategic partnerships with these stakeholders. You\’ll consistently ensure the delivery of client KPI’s alongside training & development, performance, motivation, safety, welfare of your onsite team.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing subcontractors and ensuring SLA/KPI for their services are conducted and non conformance dealt with appropriately in respect of service delivery and financial agreements. To include waste management and other operational services which involve subcontractors
• Development and implementation of a well-defined Communication and Engagement model, in order to ensure all teams, understand and deliver performance standards, they are engaged at work and with their colleagues
• Ability to demonstrate and articulate achievement of results i.e. health and safety, new innovation, business improvements, cost savings and revenue generation
• Work in conjunction with the Soft Services Manager, Key Accounts Director to ensure that regular formal and informal meetings are conducted with clients to identify issues or areas of opportunity or concern and to work closely with the wider management team
• Ensure compliance by maintaining all contract documentation is up to date
• Lead weekly, monthly meetings with the client allowing other members of the cleaning management team to lead these meetings as part of personal development Train, induct and supervise the work of the team
• To select, recruit and vet employees in alignment with Company and Client policies, terms and conditions, and be accountable for their induction and ongoing training and development
• To actively encourage and promote team spirit and development
• To ensure monthly payroll figures are accurate and that all relative documentation is prepared in line with appropriate deadlines and budget controls
• To ensure that all additional project work is commenced, progressed, and concluded to the satisfaction of the client
• To ensure that all necessary resources, materials, and machines are available and on site and maintained to contract specification.
• To quote for new services and ad-hoc works in line with policy and procedures
• Benchmark services and ensure best value for money
• Audits & regular inspections of all in scope machinery & equipment including rectification of any fault
• Induction, probation, training & development of team members. Team performance reviews including 121’s, ‘Mid Term’ & ‘End of Year’ reviews, Hold regular team meetings
• HR processes including investigations, disciplinary, grievances, attendance & welfare, return to work etC
• Innovation & initiatives including those raised by the team & subsequent sharing of ideas & best practice leading to improved practice
• Support Security delivery when required through overseeing management role in the absence of the security manager
• Working within BICSc operating procedures and ensuring all cleaning operatives do so
• Ensure the Operational and Technical Co-Ordinator is administering the permit to work system for all Bidvest Noonan works and Bidvest Noonan contractors, reviewing contractor RAMS as well as submitting RAMS and permits for Bidvest Noonan works. You will also assist in this function where required

Required Competencies

• Management experience in a similar environment where you have led, owned and innovated the cleaning delivery across an assignment.
• You will be able to demonstrate networking, leadership, influencing and communication skills to deliver outcomes that meet operational requirements.
• You will have experience in change management and analytical skills, alongside demonstrable experience of leading & developing teams.
• Proven experience of improving performance by introducing more efficient working practices and continues improvement is essential to succeed.
• Must have sound knowledge of cleaning industry, associated standards and protocol in the appropriate sector.
• Must hold a current SIA licence or be willing to work towards achieving this within the first 3 months of appointment.
• Must have sound technical cleaning knowledge, good understanding of security procedures
• Must have knowledge of reporting requirements within this sector and understanding of sector KPI’s
• Must have good PC and organisational skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.) Ability to produce/interpret/analyse reports.
• Hold Healthy & Safety qualification such as IOSH managing Safely or NEBOSH
• Hold management qualification of level 5 or currently working towards
• Hold risk management qualification or currently working towards
• Hold current in date BICSc licence
• BICSc assessor (Desirable, requirement to provide compliance & membership), if not held then will be required to work towards
• Experience of all sectors of cleaning including window/vertical cleaning
