๐ฅ As a Senior Youth Worker, you will:
- Mentor young people at risk of school exclusion, mental health issues, or involvement in Serious Youth Violence.
- Engage through one-on-one sessions, after-school programs, positive activities, and holiday initiatives.
- Network and foster relationships with official bodies, community groups, and nonprofit youth organisations.
- Establish trust with youth and the local community.
- Improve student involvement in education, attendance, behaviour, and academic success.
- Create and shape programs addressing the needs of young people.
- Assist with the selection, training, and growth of volunteers.
- Provide information, advice, and guidance to young people.
- Organise documentation and submit required evidence promptly.
- Deliver expert guidance and training to junior team members.
๐ฅ You\’ll likely be someone who:
- Has 2 years of experience working directly with young people, including mentoring, support, and educational programs.
- Holds a Level 3 qualification in youth work (a youth work degree or equivalent is advantageous).
- Has personal experience with the challenges faced by young people.
- Is skilled in building and nurturing relationships.
- Has knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices.
