As the Systems Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Sainsbury’s systems across Food & General Merchandise and providing business support to users. You will ensure the systems are efficient and effective at enabling the technical function to protect customer safety and our brand reputation. You will build tactical and strategic road maps to ensure the most up to date enhancements to continually improve our ability to manage compliance, business continuity and risk in a simple way.
What you need to do

Manage a team of System Analysts to provide day to day systems support to the Food and GM Technical Teams.

Identify, develop and implement new processes and systemic solutions to continually enhance the ability of the technical team to protect customer safety and our brand in a simple and effective way.

Use project management skills to monitor the efficient and effective delivery of technology improvements to the division.

Work with Sainsbury’s tech team to manage service provider relationships, ensuring clear performance reviews, KPIs and timebound action plans for issues raised and enhancements required.

As appropriate use judgement, knowledge and expertise to identify solutions to potential issues to drive compliance across the teams.

Clear communication on system issues and planned enhancements in our systems to the Food Technical Leadership Team through our governance meetings and Incident Management escalation routes.

Relevant experience in a Systems role and line management experience.

Understanding of Food Technical systems and best in class technical systems in the industry. SAP knowledge is crucial.

Strong and demonstrable project management skills and the ability to run workstreams concurrently.
