As an Assistant Tax Manager, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering accurate corporation tax compliance services and reviewing corporation tax returns and working papers. You will provide both routine and ad hoc tax advice, identifying tax planning opportunities and collaborating with specialist departments such as Tax Disputes and Resolutions, Employment Taxes, and VAT. In addition, you will monitor legislative changes, help develop and implement effective tax strategies for clients, and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of best practices. Alongside these responsibilities, you will mentor junior staff and actively contribute to business development by identifying new service opportunities and participating in client meetings.
Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of corporation tax compliance services.

Review corporation tax returns and working papers.

Provide corporation tax advice, including ad hoc queries from clients, identifying tax planning opportunities, and providing fuller tax advice where applicable.

Collaborate with specialist departments, such as Tax Disputes and Resolutions (TDR), Employment Taxes, and VAT, to ensure comprehensive client service.

Monitor and communicate changes in tax legislation and their impact on clients.

Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies for clients.

Train and mentor junior staff, providing technical guidance and support.
