This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious and independent not-for-profit housing association which has 3,400 homes across South Cumbria and Lancashire. With our office in Kendal sitting on the edge of the Lake District National Park, it’s a fantastic place to live and work which offers an ideal blend of quality of life and professional challenge. Our purpose is ‘Quality Homes, a platform for life’ and we are focused on achieving our key strategic ambitions of delivering more affordable homes, greening our existing homes and transforming to ensure we continue delivering a great customer experience.
Following the announcement that our current Chief Executive will retire this year, there is now an excellent and career-enhancing opportunity for an existing or first time Chief Executive to lead a successful G1/V2 organisation. Our current business strategy runs until 2026 and as such you will bring the essential vision and strategic insight as we continue to plan for the future. We are looking for a leader who fully appreciates the key economic and social contribution we make locally and sub-regionally, by increasing the supply of affordable homes and long term investment in existing homes to help address fuel poverty and affordability.
With significant strategic leadership experience gained within social housing, our new Chief Executive will bring an inspiring, motivational and collaborative leadership style. Experienced in stakeholder engagement, and highly customer focused, you will be a visible leader who will embody the values and behaviours which have underpinned our success.
