Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Account Director to lead a high-profile global account. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing international clients and campaigns, with extensive knowledge of brand strategy, transcreation, and multi-market / multi-channel coordination. This role will be integral to building trusted relationships with clients, ensuring seamless campaign execution across multiple global markets, and adapting creative work to resonate locally.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Leadership:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for global brand clients based in London, ensuring white-glove service – clear communication, strategic alignment, and trusted relationships.
- Oversee and manage multi-market campaign rollouts, ensuring all deliverables are consistent with the brand\’s global strategy while adapting to local nuances.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of account managers to ensure outstanding client service, timely execution, and strategic insight across all campaigns.
- Oversee a global team including:
- Regional creative director leads + local-market creative directors across up to 20 countries
- Global BA Manager + local-market global BA managers
- Production designer and OOH producer(s)
Global Strategy & Localization:
- Partner with clients to understand their global objectives, and develop comprehensive strategies that align with their brand positioning and market goals.
- Ensure creative and strategic work is tailored for different regional and cultural contexts, with a strong focus on localization and market relevance.
- Manage complex, multi-channel campaigns across diverse markets, ensuring that creative assets and messaging resonate both globally and locally.
Project & Financial Management:
- Drive the overall profitability and growth of the account, including forecasting, budget management, and financial reporting.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with client expectations and financial objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with creative, strategy, media, and production teams to ensure integrated and cohesive campaign delivery.
- Coordinate with global partners, vendors, and external agencies to ensure smooth execution across markets.
- Manage local team resources across multiple markets.
- Stay informed about global market trends, emerging technologies, and cultural shifts that could impact client strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in account management, with a focus on global brands and international campaign execution.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing global advertising strategies, including an understanding of localization and transcreation across multiple regions.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale campaigns, timelines, and budgets, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to inspire and develop junior team members.
- Exceptional client relationship skills, with a focus on strategic counsel and problem-solving.
- Strong understanding of digital, social, and traditional media channels across global markets.
- Ability to navigate cross-cultural contexts and collaborate effectively with global teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience working at a global advertising agency or with Fortune 500 clients.
- Familiarity with technology, and/or travel and lifestyle brands.
