Sovrin Medical Plastics is an ISO 13485 certified, contract manufacturer, supplying Precision Injection Mouldings, Assemblies and Medical Devices to the Pharmaceutical, Drug Delivery and Healthcare industries.

Sovrin Plastics are looking to recruit a multi skilled maintenance engineer responsible for performing preventive maintenance activities and responding to breakdowns.

Often working in a clean room environment providing technical expertise to fault find, maintain and continually improve automated injection moulding equipment, ancillary equipment and assembly processes. You will also be required to provide assistance to the New Product Introduction team implementing changes to existing equipment and the installation of new equipment.

To be successful, you will need engineering experience within a manufacturing environment, with particular skills in fault finding and problem solving on technical equipment.

Experience with any of the following would be an advantage:

  • 3 Phase electrical supply
  • Controls and drives
  • Pneumatics
  • Complex mechanical assemblies
  • Working in a regulated industry (e.g. pharma, medical device)
  • Fanuc injection moulding machines
  • Yushin robotics
  • Planned maintenance software

You will also need to be able to demonstrate a track record of technical competence, working proactively, and managing your own time effectively.

As we operate in a highly-regulated industry, you must be able to follow procedures and create accurate documents and records of your work.

Ideally you will have completed a recognized Engineering apprenticeship or have a higher education qualification (such as a HNC, HND) in a related subject.

This is a single shift position, with core hours from 08:00 to 4:30 Monday to Friday, and the opportunity for regular overtime.

Remuneration package negotiable and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

25 days holiday + Bank holidays and sick pay scheme.
