Associate – Secondaries Advisory – Work/Life balance Firm: Global and Independent Private Markets Advisors Role Overview The Associate – Secondaries is a key position within the Secondaries advisory practice . The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in executing secondary transactions, managing junior team members, and supporting origination efforts. Key Responsibilities Serve as the second-in-command professional supporting deal leads in executing secondary transactions. Liaise with advisors, lawyers, and counterparties, ensuring seamless coordination. Manage and run data rooms, ensuring confidentiality and compliance. Draft key transaction documents, including PPMs/IMs. Handle and negotiate NDAs with minimal oversight. Act as the day-to-day contact for buyside inquiries. Maintain client engagement throughout the process, managing expectations effectively. Financial Analysis & Modeling: Develop bespoke transaction models with minimal supervision. Conduct financial analysis and oversee modeling performed by junior team members. Prepare high-quality presentations, reports, and transaction-related documents. Market Coverage & Business Development: Establish and maintain relationships with major secondary market participants. Maintain regular interactions with key investors and counterparties. Stay informed about primary and secondary market trends. Engage in firm-building initiatives and cross-team collaborations. People & Project Management: Oversee, mentor, and support junior team members. Ensure work quality, accuracy, and timeliness across projects. Conduct internal training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Self-Development & Firm Engagement: Proactively seek feedback and learning opportunities. Attend industry seminars, training programs, and conferences. Contribute to internal projects and firm-wide initiatives. Qualifications & Skills Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in secondaries, private equity, investment banking, or related fields. Technical Expertise: Strong financial modeling, analytical, and presentation skills. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Leadership: Proven ability to manage and develop junior team members. Work Ethic: High level of integrity, proactiveness, and attention to detail. Teamwork: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams and offices.
