Based in Fife, ESS Recruit s client is a household name product manufacturing business. They have a proud history of innovating products and leading their sector. The business continues to grow and evolve, and they now need to make the key hire of a Head of Manufacturing with the experience and desire to lead people in a people driven environment.
You will be part of a fast paced and unique manufacturing organisation where every product is made to order, and production lead times are short. Such an environment requires management with excellent organisational skills and inspiring leadership qualities. People remain at the heart of what Our Client do, and their success will continue to be driven by the quality and motivation of the people in their business.
The Head of Manufacturing will work closely with the General Manager, with the principal focus being the realisation of the organisation s strategic objectives. You will effectively set the tone and pave the way to lift the culture across a busy production facility and put in place a strategy geared around lean/CI, CAPEX, new materials/processes, automation, slick people engagement and development that helps accelerate the next phase of growth .
To be considered for this role you will ideally be educated to degree level in a technical or manufacturing related discipline. Candidates with an MBA will be considered highly desirable.
In addition, you will have proven experience as a senior manufacturing leader operating at senior Operations Manager, Operations Director or Head of Manufacturing level.
This role will suit candidates from a range of production environments, but we are very keen to hear from candidates used to managing and planning production for complex, short lead times and fast-moving products.
Furthermore, you will have a People First philosophy and must be able to showcase and lead cultural change impacting on processes, people and systems over time.
