STARTING JULY 2025 – We are looking for a qualified sailing couple team to help these new yacht owners achieve their circumnavigation dreams on the next Oyster World Rally which departs Antigua in January 2026.
The new build is due to handover from the Oyster yard in July 2025 in Ipswich, UK.
The crew would ideally step onboard during the handover period and get to know the boat for the first few weeks before sailing down to Palma for the shakedown cruise. Following a warranty stop in at Oyster Palma, it will be onto the Canaries and across the Atlantic before starting the rally in January 2025.
This owning couple are novice sailors and are very keen to learn the ropes and fully participate in the adventure. Therefore it is important to have a crew on board who will enjoy teaching them and their family.

Requirements
Essential certificates:
Captain – YM Ocean (CE) minimum
Mate/Cook – YM Offshore – minimum
4 day MCA Advanced Medical course – one
STCW – both
ENG1 – both
Desired experience between the two crew:
Natural teaching ability and desire to teach
Good engineering / troubleshooting skills
Good cooking and provisioning skills
Proactive and self sufficient work ethic
Good ocean cruising experience.
