About the Role:
As the Sous Chef in this busy Chester St David\’s hotel, you will support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen team and manage day-to-day operations in their absence. This is a role within a busy, high-volume, fast-paced hotel.
Ideal Profile:

  • Experience in high-volume restaurant/conference and events
  • Proven track record as a Sous Chef with strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire a kitchen team
  • Successful experience in kitchen management, including overseeing operations, staff management, and achieving culinary excellence
  • High attention to detail, especially in maintaining food quality, presentation, and consistency

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure a professional, safe, and cost-effective environment
  • Maintain clear communication between the kitchen and Front of House staff
  • Ensure food is prepared and served according to company standards, working with branded menus to enhance guest satisfaction
  • Adhere strictly to food hygiene and Health & Safety regulations as per HACCP and EHO directives
