Great opportunity for an experienced Buyer who has worked in a technical or engineering procurement role. Our established client has created a new role for a Senior Buyer within their busy purchasing team. The Senior Buyer will be responsible for procuring materials from suppliers and sub-contractors to support the build plan of each project. Duties and responsibilities of the role will include: Managing the end to end procurement process from demand, through to purchase orders and delivery of parts Build strong working relationships with supplier to understand lead-times and ensure on-time delivery and quality Place purchase orders in our ERP-system, ensure good data integrity and process management Support any sourcing requirements including finding new suppliers, RFQs, supplier contracts Work closely with the Project Managers and Engineers to highlight any issues relating to the delivery or quality of materials Work closely with colleagues in with operations, planning, logistics and qualityExperience and knowledge required for the role: Experience of working in a similar Purchasing or Buying role within an engineering/technical manufacturing organisation Understanding of BOM's and Technical drawings Experience of managing Suppliers and their performance Strong planning and project management skills Organised approach and can plan ahead in a structured and methodical way Works well with colleagues and supports others to achieve the team and company goals Occasional travel will be a requirement of the roleOur client offers hybrid working, professional development including support with CIPS.
