Working Hours: 32.5 Hours per Week, 08:00 am to 15:00 pm (30-minute lunch break)

Midday Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, ODD, and SEMH
  • Assist students in their learning and engagement throughout the school day
  • Supervise and encourage positive behaviour during midday breaks
  • Work one-to-one and in small group settings as needed
  • Support class teachers with lesson resources and classroom routines
  • Promote the development of independence and social interaction skills

Requirements for Midday Learning Support Assistant:

  • Experience working in an SEN or school setting is essential
  • Must be a driver with business insurance, this role is based on Mileage pay
  • Comfortable working with pupils with varying levels of need and behaviour
  • CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification in Teaching Support or Childcare (desirable)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive, flexible, and empathetic approach to support
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one
