Your new role As a Shift Maintenance Engineer, you\’ll be a key part of the engineering team, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of production equipment. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Whitby, working on a rotating shift pattern. You will work a 3-shift system (06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00, and 22:00-06:00).The role involves both electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, and installations. While the position is electrically biased, candidates with a mechanical background are also encouraged to apply, as a multi-skilled approach is highly valued. What you\’ll need to succeed Experience: Minimum 12 months post-qualification engineering experience Experience with electrical services and equipment up to 415V Familiarity with 3-phase distribution systems Maintenance experience in mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems Ability to manage a busy workload, balancing planned and reactive maintenance Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is desirable.
