General Manager (Marine & Airports) – Yorkshire and North East\\n£40,000 – £50,000 plus car allowance, c20% commission of GP sales, pension\\nClient, Job Role, and expectations\\nMy client is a leading innovative equipment rental service company servicing the construction industry and general trade with a one stop shop for all needs, skip hire, PPE hire, Tool hire, Plant hire and Power tool hire. They are the ‘Uber’ of hire.\\nRole responsibilities\\nReporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to their clients. They are seeking an experienced Sales Management professional with project and operational management skills from a marine and/or airport sector background (with Hire as a specialism) to focus on developing and driving a customer-focused hire sales plan across all channels including Central Sales, Direct Hire, Managed Services, and Digital at a regional level.
Creating a consistent sales culture at a regional level this role champions a customer first approach with high levels of service and clear communication to support customers of all sizes. With an inherent desire to provide a great customer journey this is an exciting and rare opportunity to join the team as a General Manager for their Marine & Airports division. with responsibilities including:\\n• Ensure sales territories are organised to maximise the effectiveness of the sales team resource and to provide optimum coverage of the allocated sales region\\n• Ensure sales region and team sales goals are achieved through the effective recruitment, training, development and motivation of sales professionals\\n• Take a proactive lead in developing customer and regional specific action plans in conjunction with team members and other appropriate colleagues\\n• Review and report upon sales, margin and team / individual specific key performance data, providing appropriate feedback and acting upon areas requiring improvement\\n• Developing and nurturing key supplier relationships\\n• Actively call on sub-regional key customers, and take an active role with all major projects within their territory\\nExperience\\nBringing your skills in sales and remote team management you will have sector/industry marine and airport experience.\\nIt is important that you can demonstrate your sales success through your effective influence, negotiation and communication abilities.
You will have strong business and commercial acumen coupled with experience leading high performing remote teams.
