All levels required from Engineer level – Principal Level, please see below a general specification for the roles available. Industry – Nuclear Related 40-45 hours per week over a four day working week Based in Northwest S.O.W Producing design studies and manufacturing designs for the clients projects. The engineers will work within a multi-discipline design team and be responsible for undertaking the design of the equipment as delegated by the Engineering Manager. Specific Areas of responsibility: Produce design concepts/layouts Carry out technical risk analysis on design for CDM and compliance and CE certification. Produce designs that conform to the relevant British and European standards and client requirements Ensure that the design addresses operability, maintainability and safety issues Produce design justification reports to demonstrate the design mitigates all technical risks identified Check drawing details Undertake design studies and produce report on outcome while making recommendations Experience and knowledge Minimum 5 years engineering background (Senior and Above) Broad based engineering experience in design Materials and mechanical handling techniques Intimate knowledge of drawing principals and standards Skills and Abilities 3D CAD user AutoCAD user Essential Security Clearance will be sought for candidates.
