Software Developer in Test (SDET) / Automation Tester – £600 Per Day Outside IR35 – Initial 6 Month Contract – Fully Remote Overview: An excellent contract opportunity has arisen with our client, an established financial services organisation. They are currently going through a major digital transformation project and require an Automation Tester / Developer in Test to join their dynamic team on a fully remote basis. This role requires candidates to have proven experience with Playwright and recent experience in testing data systems or platforms . Experience in building frameworks from scratch is also essential. Role & Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement automated testing frameworks Perform ETL process testing, API testing, and create automated scripts using Playwright and TypeScript Conduct manual testing where necessary to ensure overall system quality Write and maintain automation scripts in Python from Excel/Access VBA Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot, resolve issues, and improve testing strategies Ensure comprehensive testing coverage and accurate documentation of test results Essential Skills & Experience: Strong experience in developing and executing automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript. Experience testing data systems Proven expertise in testing ETL processes to ensure data integrity and system accuracy Hands-on experience in API testing, ensuring reliable and secure integration across systems Proficiency in Python for writing scripts, automating tests, and streamlining processes. Advanced skills in Excel and Access VBA for data handling, automation, and analysis. Contract details: Initial 6 month contract £500 – £600 per day – Outside IR35 Fully remote
