Mechanical Design Draughtsperson

Job Title: Mechanical Design Draughtsperson Location: Worcestershire Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 (D.O.E) Are you a confident Mechanical Design Draughtsperson with a strong engineering background? We are looking for someone who can independently take on a variety of design tasks, including creating complete assemblies, sub-assemblies, and modifying parts. You will produce high-quality, accurate 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor and Vault software. About The Role: Your duties will include: * Producing mechanical CAD drawings based on technical briefs. * Ensuring all drawings and parts lists are accurate and meet required standards. * Creating parts lists and transferring data into the MRP system. * Meeting agreed deadlines for project deliverables. * Contributing ideas and solutions to solve technical engineering problems. * Occasionally attending site visits to collect relevant information. You Will Be: * Working as part of a collaborative team. * Reporting to the Design Office Manager. * Skilled, with at least 2 years of previous experience in a similar role. * Able to demonstrate creativity and attention to detail in design. * Experienced with 3D Inventor, Vault, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. * Willing to train and improve through on-the-job learning opportunities. * Enthusiastic, positive, and practical in your approach. * Capable of working independently with minimal supervision. * Based in the office at our factory location. Requirements: * Strong methodical thinking and an organised working approach. * A passion for engineering and a desire to advance your career in the field. * A recognised engineering qualification. * At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role (with references). * Proficiency in English and excellent communication skills. * The ability to liaise professionally with suppliers. * Have the right to work in the UK without the need for VISA sponsorship now or in the future.
