As a Senior Brand Designer, you will wield creativity as your primary tool, shaping and refining brands through the lens of innovation and strategic vision. Your expertise will involve crafting compelling visuals and strategically guiding the evolution of brand narratives. You will be the guardian of consistency, ensuring every design element aligns seamlessly with a brand strategy. With a nuanced understanding of market trends and consumer behaviour, you will be at the forefront of creating a brand presence that is digital-first and motion-led. In this role, you will be a pivotal force, translating abstract concepts into tangible experiences that touch on all the senses. Driven by the detail behind the design, you will work with our corporate clients to help build their brand with meticulous detail in the finer elements, from designing assets to aid your designs to setting the rules for animation aspects, thinking about the systems and guidelines. Collaborating closely with Design and Creative Directors, you’re comfortable setting direction and developing creative concepts to deliver transformative brand work. You are curious to learn—whether that means being aware of new innovations and technology to help take our work to the next level or keeping a close, constant eye on the forces shaping our world now and into the future.

Instrumental in the creation of Future Brands, you will:

  1. Deliver exceptional and insightful creative solutions for your clients.
  2. Understand every aspect of your client’s business; show a real passion for their brand and the industry.
  3. Lead creative conversations and contribute to strategic ideas, ensuring you have a good understanding of the chosen idea and are able to confidently interpret it, using it as a springboard to create strong, differentiated brand solutions.
  4. Help define and work in line with client strategy across several clients, clearly articulating the strategy and thinking behind the work and documenting this where appropriate.
  5. Truly understand your client’s business.
  6. Understand how all projects are part of the bigger brand strategy.
  7. Steer and shape the project process, providing relevant reference points from inside and outside the category.
  8. Inspire and fuel discussions, creating an open and honest relationship with your clients.
  9. Have a point of view and develop processes to deliver a more connected brand experience.
  10. Be confident and passionate when talking about the wider FutureBrand Group offer to clients.
  11. Continue to champion creativity and inspire the team by sharing trends and innovative campaigns, seen as a thought leader, developing and driving projects.
  12. Provoke and push creative boundaries, bringing ideas and influences from the outside world to create connected brand experiences.
  13. Do things that inspire you; research creative work beyond advertising, visit galleries and exhibitions.

A collaborator, building rock-solid relationships at every turn, you will:

  1. Embrace creative discussions with your colleagues in Strategy and Client Service, constructively provoking and encouraging positive collaboration both within the team and across teams to produce the best work.
  2. Work collaboratively and responsibly within deadlines with your strategy and client service partners, being open to feedback and improvements throughout the process.
  3. Effectively manage upwards and downwards when the situation requires escalation or delegation.
  4. Lead and inspire several designers over a variety of briefs, using your experience to advise the teams on how to shape and deliver their work, demonstrating your experience and being seen as a leader in the team.
  5. Leverage your experience and skills to ensure effective conversations—even if they aren’t always that easy.
  6. Assist with and guide the development of those under your care, sharing the skills you have gained by mentoring other team members, both in creative and beyond, and advising on how to shape and deliver great work.
  7. Contribute to a highly collaborative and energized atmosphere in which positive disruption is encouraged.
  8. Develop relationships with your peers within the wider FutureBrand Group, CMG, MWG, and IPG.

Nurture the growth and health of your client’s business, you will:

  1. Clearly communicate strategic-led creative ideas through the creative process to deliver on a project brief that delights clients, in budget, on time.
  2. Understand what makes great work and be passionate about it. When you review work, you’ll have the confidence to trust your gut and offer a unique point of view.
  3. Defend the work passionately and understand how and when to push back on the client, clearly and articulately explaining and constructively defending an idea to clients.
  4. Experiment with new approaches and create new opportunities within projects to develop our offer and broaden/deepen our relationships with clients.
  5. Constantly be aware of the time allocated to you and more junior members of the team, being in fluid conversations with the creative services manager and client servicing.
  6. Ensure that your work and ideas will be practical and impactful.
  7. Build compelling and impactful case studies to promote us and our work to the wider design community.
  8. May begin to lead smaller pitches, motivating and inspiring more junior creatives.
