Our valued client is a leading electrical training provider based in Birmingham. They currently train over 600 electrical apprentices working with 250 local and national electrical contractors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an additional Electrical Tutor/Lecturer to their team. Graded GOOD by Ofsted at their last inspection, they pride themselves on delivering high quality industry relevant training to the next generation of electricians. Our tutors play an integral and inspirational role in the development of our apprentices. The role encompasses teaching both apprentices and adult learners on upskilling courses. You will be based at our Birmingham Centres teaching both theoretical and practical lessons to apprentices aged 16+. You will need to have a good knowledge of electrical principles but also able to enrich your lessons through your own industry and career experiences. If you are an experienced Tutor or Lecturer then we would love to hear from you, but donโ€™t worry if you are an experienced electrician looking for a career change into education. We offer high levels of support and training opportunities, delivered both internally and externally. You will also be able to update your electrical equalisations with our range of electrical short courses. Job Descriptions ยท Delivering theoretical and practical sessions to Apprentices undertaking City & Guilds 5357 Electrical Apprenticeship ยท Assessing and Teaching Practical Sessions for Apprentices and Adult Learners ยท Planning, marking, and assessing teaching sessions ยท Supporting Learners with extra support if needed ยท Working with employers and supporting successful training of their apprentices ยท Undertaking Assessments & Skills Scans at our Birmingham Training Centre ยท Assessing Practical WORK Desired Skills & Experience: ยท Previous experience as an Electrical Tutor ยท Qualified to at least AET (PTLLS) Level 3 ยท C&G Electrical Installation Level 2 and Level 3 or equivalent or completed an Electrical Apprenticeship ยท NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation ยท A passion for helping students achieve ยท Good IT skills ยท A positive attitude ยท Excellent communication skills OR ยท Qualified electrician looking for a change of direction (training will be provided) ยท Served a recognised apprenticeship C&G Electrical Installation Level 2 and Level 3 or equivalent or completed an Electrical Apprenticeship ยท NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation ยท Minimum of 5 yearsโ€™ experience โ€œon the toolsโ€ ยท Relevant industry qualifications e.g. 18th Edition, 2391, PAT Testing are desired The position involves working with Apprentices delivering C&G 5357 Level 3 Diploma and delivering City & Guilds commercial training courses i.e. 18th Edition, PAT Testing, Inspection and Testing, EV Charging Benefits: ยท Salary – ยฃ36,000 – ยฃ43,000pa ยท Training and development programme ยท 25 days paid holiday plus Statutory Holidays ยท Death in Service ยท Pension Working hours are 8.00am โ€“ 4.30 Mon-Thurs, 8.00am โ€“ 4.00 on Friday with ยฝ lunch Job Type: Full-time (Part Time Considered)
