Quality Inspector

Our client is one of the UK’s largest contract packing companies. Working within FMCG / Food, they are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to support the technical team to ensure that products meet the company, the clients and food standards.

Based in Bilsthorpe, because of the location, a driving license and access to own vehicle is essential!

• £12.14 per hour
• Morning shifts starting from 6am
• Monday – Friday / Full time 40hr week
• Overtime available!

• Will lead to a permanent contract after successful probation

Role Overview:

As a vital member of the team you will be responsible completing the quality records on a daily basis, supporting the line leaders in the completion of both APP and line leader work where required. Ensure prompt escalation of production or technical quality issues are passed efficiently to the correct team.

• Attention to detail! Most important aspect of the role!
• Confident decision making, and ability to work under own initiative
• Accurate record keeping
• Problem solving approach
• Good English reading and writing skills
• Team player, happy to help with production duties if no quality issues

Skills and Experience:

• Previous quality assurance experience (ideally within the food industry)
• Must be able to identify variations in product from photo specifications
• Must be able to use IT to record data via PDA / mobile / tablet
• Must be able to provide recent work references to demonstrate reliability and trustworthiness
