The Company
One of the world's leading out-of-home media corporations with a "digital first" methodology and an agency style culture and feel. They are looking for an Account Director to engage with key west-end agencies. Out of home is quickly evolving into one of the most exciting and digitally important media available. With the continual development of technologies which enable digital out-of-home to target and interact with individuals based around real time data, analytics and insight, brands are able to influence people (via digital channels) through customised messaging on their physical journeys. Our client has the realistic aspiration of being one of the top 3 global digital companies over the next few years. Currently 50% of all spend with the business is digital.
The role of Agency Account Director
This role is on the west-end agency team. Therefore, as Agency Account Director you will be selling the benefits of Digital Out-of-home media to your agency contacts; sharing campaign examples and successes, digital innovations, new inventory, latest research and targeting options etc. The aim of your role is to maximise the share of campaign spend for Digital Out-of-home. The actual booking will be made via the specialist agencies and therefore you won't personally close the deal. It is therefore an extremely collaborative departmental effort. Your agency patch will be MEC, UM and Initiative and you will be targeted with 10 agency meetings a week (as well as naturally going to relevant socials).
Requirements for this Agency Account Director position
- 3+ years media sales experience
- Strong face to face sales experience
- Digital media sales experience and/or out-of-home experience is highly desirable
- Understanding of how digital out-of-home fits into the marketing mix
- Confident, articulate, sociable and outgoing
- Stable career path
- Team player
