Purpose of Position

The Sales Director is responsible for defining the Sales strategy as well as the implementation and coordination of their regional sales plan and tactics to support NetJets overall growth across the region and leads Sales responsibility in assigned region across both the NetJets product and service offerings. The Sales Director will lead a team of high performing Sales professionals to drive and achieve sales targets within their region.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and coaching to direct reports within the region on Sales strategy and tactics, pipeline, process, systems, business skills and results to enhance sales targets and team development.
  • Manage and demonstrate an energetic, positive, collaborative, and high performing Sales culture that actively lives NetJets’ Core Competencies and supports the 20/20 Flight Plan.
  • Continuously increase new Sales leads and develop strong strategic alliances and partnerships to support their success in role as well as overall team success.
  • Actively review Sales activity, pipeline and overall Sales performance, as well as addressing any performance issues in a constructive and timely manner, as per internal processes.
  • Motivate the regional team through clear goal setting, weekly Sales meetings, recognition and to ensure an appropriate support system is available for each individual team member.
  • Promote the adoption and use of Salesforce effectively to ensure optimum team output and effectiveness.
  • Responsible for high priority projects including territory optimisation.
  • Develop a reliable talent pipeline through recruitment and training of new Sales team members.
  • Define applicable metrics and analytics for continuous improvement.
  • Be accountable for the execution and achievement of sales goals set forth by Sales Management, including quotas and processes involving sales improvement and generating revenue and increasing market share.
  • Identify and develop new market and product opportunities sharing those internally recommending prospection plans.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of current market trends and provide the Sales team and other internal stakeholders with actionable insights.
  • This position will require substantial travel (up to 50%) within the assigned region as well as travel to Company meetings and events outside the Region of responsibility.

Education : Bachelor’s in Marketing or Communications
Years of Experience : 8-10 years of experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)

  • Educated to degree level in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration or related field is required or equivalent work experience demonstrating profound knowledge.
  • 6 to 10 years’ proven Sales leadership with a successful track record of growing high-performance teams.
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Organised and persistent in managing tasks throughout a long-term Sales cycle.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft packages including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in the use of CRM software (Salesforce experience is highly desirable).
  • Knowledge of target market and research tools for prospecting.
  • Business fluent in Dutch, French or German language both written and verbal preferred.
