Our client, a leading energy company committed to sustainable and innovative solutions is seeking a dynamic Governance Lead to join their energy programme. This UK Energy Industry Programme plays a crucial role in enabling flexibility to support the country's transition to Net Zero. It has been hailed as one of the most significant transformations in the UK energy system since privatisation. It is initially a six-month contract with real potential to be extended. The role is Hybrid, with one day every two weeks being based in their Nottingham / Coventry office. It is a full-time role, 40 hours per week. Accountabilities: * Lead governance for the Programme. * Develop, implement, and continuously enhance governance frameworks, covering planning, RAID management, decision-making processes, meeting structures, reporting, stakeholder communication, knowledge management, and change management. * Oversee key governance meetings, including Leadership Team, Steering Committee, and Board Sponsor meetings-managing inputs, facilitating discussions, and ensuring clear, effective outcomes. * Prepare and deliver regular Programme reports, ensuring clarity and alignment for all stakeholders. * Own and execute the Programme's communication strategy, collaborating with communication and local teams for effective delivery. * Provide governance expertise, including guidance on migration governance. * Develop and maintain high-level materials that outline the Programme's operating model and implementation strategy. Knowledge and Skills: * Extensive experience in developing, managing, delivering, and enhancing program governance, including planning, RAID management, decision frameworks, meeting structures, reporting, communication, stakeholder engagement, knowledge management, and change management. * Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, with strong technical and creative abilities to craft clear and compelling messages. * Skilled in shaping and conveying messages across various formats, such as slides and intranet content. * Strong background in managing and executing communication plans effectively. * Preferably has experience in the energy, utilities, or other regulated industries.
