Global Emerging Markets Equity Fund Manager / Team

My client, a boutique investment manager, is looking to bring on board either a Lead Portfolio Manager or a team to manage a Global Emerging Market Equity fund.

The PM/team can be based anywhere Globally.

My client are looking to acquire/purchase a GEM equity franchise with transferable assets with a view of committing capital to the fund themselves.

The ideal candidate / team will have sole responsibility in managing an emerging market equity fund in order to deliver superior returns.

Main Responsibilities:

• Playing an essential role in the management of the Global Emerging Markets equity funds.
• Responsible for the coverage of specific regions/markets within emerging markets
• Depending on experience, the successful candidate would be responsible for managing a Global Emerging Market Fund
• Highlight investment opportunities through in-depth bottom-up analysis
• Develop proprietary models and tools which enhance the team’s investment analysis capabilities
• Contribute to the continuous development of the team’s investment process

Required Experience:

Min of 10 years of proven experience in the investment industry as a GEM equity portfolio manager

Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

• A strong knowledge of Global emerging markets equities
• A strong understanding of macroeconomic dynamics and how they influence equity markets
• A proven and positive track record in generating alpha using a disciplined investment process
• The ability to model and analyse companies using a qualitative and quantitative approach is essential
• The ability to communicate in a clear, simple and consistent way with other team members is essential
