Due to the nature of the role, remote working is not possible. Benefits: * Competitive salary based on experience * 28 days annual leave plus UK Bank Holidays * Career growth opportunities * Exposure to international logistics and supply chain operations Job Description: As a Shipping Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of orders, documentation, and shipments within the business. Your responsibilities will include: * Reviewing schedules and facilitating the release of customer sales orders and associated documentation. * Managing commodity and tariff code administration. * Overseeing the shipping of customer orders both domestically and internationally. * Assisting with customs clearance and export licensing compliance. * Responding to queries from Contracts, Sales, Customer Services, Quality, Purchasing, and Accounts teams. * Preparing progress reports and tracking process quality issues affecting delivery. * Facilitating claims with couriers and freight forwarders. * Supporting UK government department activities, including the Export Control Unit and the Department for International Trade. * Supporting improvement programs for Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental management. Skills & Experience: * Strong administrative and IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. * High level of numeracy and organisational skills. * Ability to multitask and meet deadlines efficiently. * Experience in customs processes such as import/export declarations, VAT, tariff codes, and incoterms. * Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills. * Strong customer service and communication skills. * Minimum 2 years\’ experience in domestic and international shipping. * Experience with courier/freight forwarder customer portals (e.g., UPS, FedEx, Expeditors, CEVA).
