Head of Marketing

London Temporary Home office possible

We are seeking a collaborative and creative Head of Marketing to join our newly formed Brand, Marketing, Creative and Communications team.

This role will lead a newly integrated team across both consumer and B2B audiences (including SMEs, large employers, employee benefit consultants, payroll providers, ‘Nest Connectors’ and other intermediaries). The role holder will use their deep knowledge of insight-driven marketing strategy development across both B2B, intermediary and consumer audiences to develop plans that deliver measurable impact.

Exceptional team leadership will be vital for this role, together with experience of driving transformation, enabling us to evolve from being an operationally-driven supplier of services, to becoming a true partner through our members’ lives.

A collegiate and collaborative working style will also be essential, as this role will be working closely with our new planning, brand and creative teams to build plans that are truly integrated.

The role will lead all our marketing strategic planning, acting as a senior and trusted partner to our proposition directors and their teams. They will lead our "go to market" planning for new propositions, finding creative and impactful ways to launch and establish new products and services, together with growing and protecting our relationships with our B2B clients and member base.

The role holder will have a breadth of experience across marketing disciplines, together with a digital-first and progressive mindset. They will also have a strong understanding of how marketing and brand come together in an integrated way, building a ‘full funnel’ approach which ensures the sum is always greater than the individual parts.

These plans may include developing Go to Market strategies to launch new propositions; behaviour change campaigns targeting members; growing and protecting our in-life member base; B2B and self-employed acquisition campaigns; consolidation campaigns and B2B thought leadership campaigns, among other examples.

Partner with the Head of Integrated Planning and other department Heads to develop an annual planning cycle that brings all our brand, marketing, creative and comms activities together.

Oversee the marketing budget and feed into the overall department’s budget tracking, working with the Head of Integrated Planning and Planning Manager.

Lead a shift in our thinking, enabling Nest to evolve from being an operationally and functionally focused service delivery partner, to becoming a true partner through our members’ and employers’ lives.

Partner with our Creative team to ensure creativity and innovation are at the heart of what we do, leveraging creativity as a lever for growth.

Collaborate with the Heads of Brand, External Comms, Integrated Planning, creative team and Policy teams to ensure our marketing strategies are integrated with other efforts, ensuring everything pulls together in a clear and deliberate direction.

Partner with our planning, service delivery and technology teams to ensure our MarTech stack requirements are robust and that any tech solution meets our needs

Partner with our Data and Insight (DACI), planning teams and external agency suppliers to develop an attribution model and Econometrics/MMM model, reviewing ROI of all marketing spend and planning inflight shifts where needed
