KS3/4 Religious Studies Specialist – ASAP start

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Religious Studies teacher for an Ofsted Good Secondary school in Bury. You will be responsible for teaching Religious Studies, both to KS3 and KS4.

The school is a mainstream Secondary School with a supportive cover team and teaching staff. The school is going from strength to strength and providing CPD throughout the year. Our school is easily accessible by road (M60, M61, A666), so this position is ideal for colleagues based in Greater Manchester, Lancashire or West Yorkshire.

Behaviour on the whole is positive and any isolated issues are dealt with by a positive, pro‑active “on call” team with a wealth of experience in pastoral matters.

The position is open to NQT\’s/ECT\’s and more experienced colleagues. You will be paid to scale from day one of this assignment and we are available to discuss this role with teaching professionals as soon as possible.

Experience, Training and Qualifications

  • Religious Education (or similar) Graduate, with a 2:2 or higher
  • UK Qualified Teacher Status is essential for this role
  • Previous experience working in a UK school
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

Eligibility Requirements

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
