Job Description
You will act as the first point of contact for visitors and will be interacting with colleagues at all levels. You will need to be able to work a varied shift pattern of 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 8pm on a rota basis, with occasional work at weekends and bank holidays.\\n\\nYour duties will include:\\n\\n- Controlling movements on and off-site using access control\\n- Front-of-house responsibilities, including greeting visitors and employees\\n- Issuing badges/clock cards\\n- Searching all employees/visitors on exit using airport-style Security systems\\n- Checking incoming deliveries\\n- Dealing with incoming telephone calls and redirecting as appropriate\\n- Monitoring CCTV cameras/systems\\n- Providing First Aid support across the site\\n- Providing flexibility and additional cover as required, e.g. using the company van to make collections and deliveries when required\\n- Unlocking & locking up the site/patrol procedures\\n\\nThe successful candidate will have:\\n\\n- Previous experience in front-of-house security\\n- To be professional and highly motivated\\n- Well, presented, enthusiastic and hard-working\\n- Qualifications in Providing Security Services would be desirable\\n- The ability to operate IT-based systems and compile logs and reports\\n- A First Aid training qualification or willing to qualify if recruited\\n- Skilled and confident communicator with strong customer service skills\\n- Demonstrable strong Health & Safety awareness\\n- A full, valid driving licence\\n\\nHours of work:\\n\\nThe candidate must be able to work flexible shift patterns of 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 8pm on a rota basis.\\n\\nWe are based within the Birmingham Clean Air zone, and the successful candidate must ensure they are able to reach the site for a 6am start.\\n\\nTotal 37.5 hours per week, plus overtime and call-out cover when required.\\n\\nBenefits:\\n\\n- Starting salary of £24,000, increasing to £25,000 after successful completion of probation\\n- Up to 37 days’ annual leave, including bank holidays\\n- Company Pension Scheme with employer contributions matched up to 8%\\n- Life Assurance\\n- Salary sacrifice schemes for Childcare vouchers and Cycle to Work\\n- Free onsite secured car parking\\n- Discounts on Company products\\n- Paid Overtime and call-out bonus\\n\\nVisit our website to learn more about our products and services.\\n\\nAs part of the new starter vetting process, the successful candidate will be asked to complete a criminal record check from the DBS and asked to provide references; due to the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), please do not disclose referee details on your CV.\\n\\nSo, if you’re seeking your next challenge as a Site Security Officer, please apply via the button shown.
