This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced professionals in logistics, art crating, or woodworking to apply their craftsmanship in a highly specialised environment.

The role involves constructing bespoke wooden crates to protect valuable artwork and museum objects during transport. This hands-on position requires precision, attention to detail, and expertise in woodworking, machining, and protective packaging design. Relocation support and visa sponsorship are available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct high-quality custom crates tailored to specific artwork and museum objects.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and job sheets to ensure precision.
• Design and adapt crating structures to provide optimal protection against pressure and handling risks.
• Operate woodworking machinery, including routers, saws, and planers.
• Fit and secure crate components, support structures, and mounting materials.
• Ensure compliance with industry and safety standards during crating and packing processes.
• Collaborate with teams to determine appropriate materials for crate construction.
• Handle delicate and high-value items with extreme care.
• Maintain workshop tools and equipment in proper working condition.
• Assist in packing, handling, and installation of museum objects and artwork.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years\’ experience in art crating, woodworking, or fine art logistics.
• Proven expertise in handling, packing, and installing museum objects and artwork.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks, including lifting and assembly.
• Skilled in using woodworking and machining equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings with accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have a clear police record for visa purposes.
