Client snapshot: An exciting opportunity with my client, a leading provider of mental health and housing support services. They offer a range of early intervention and recovery-focused services to individuals experiencing psychosis, helping them navigate their mental health journey with tailored support. Vacancy Brief: * This is a permanent Peer Support Worker role. * Full-time position: 37.5 hours per week (MondayβFriday, 9 AMβ5 PM). No weekends or bank holidays. * Salary: Β£25,359 per annum. * Enhanced DBS Check required (covering both child and adult workforce). * Candidates must have direct experience supporting individuals with psychosis or other mental health conditions, or lived experience they can use to inspire and support service users. * A full UK driverβs license and access to a vehicle is preferred. * On-site role, based in central Bristol. * Excellent benefits package, including a flexible working policy, 26 days annual leave (increasing to 31 days), plus a work mobile phone and laptop. * 12 months of abstinence required for candidates with a history of drug or alcohol misuse. * Must have been discharged from the Bristol Early Intervention Service for at least two years if previously supported by them. The Responsibilities: * In your job role as a Peer Support worker, you build trusting and collaborative relationships with service users, offering practical advice and emotional support to help them navigate their mental health journey. * As a Peer Support Worker, you will draw on personal lived experience of mental health challenges, including psychosis, to positively support and motivate individuals in their recovery process. * You will work alongside service users to co-produce, review, and implement recovery plans, crisis plans, and self-management tools such as the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP). * An integral part of your job role will be to Support individuals from diverse backgrounds, advocating for their needs, challenging stigma, and helping them access community-based services to improve their overall wellbeing. * Furthermore, you need to ensure all safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to, working within a positive risk-taking approach to maintain a safe and supportive environment for service users.
