Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning & Coordination:
- Plan, organize, and execute catering events, ensuring seamless service for corporate functions, weddings, galas, and private gatherings.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, create customized menus, and provide expert recommendations.
- Ensure all catering events adhere to high standards of protocol, etiquette, and presentation.
Protocol & Etiquette:
- Train and oversee staff in proper service etiquette, formal dining protocols, and high-profile event execution.
- Manage catering for VIP events, ensuring impeccable presentation and guest experience.
- Maintain professionalism and discretion when handling high-end clientele, corporate executives, and dignitaries.
Operations & Staff Management:
- Supervise catering staff, assign roles, and ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service teams.
- Conduct staff training on food handling, customer service, and efficiency in high-pressure environments.
- Maintain a strong focus on customer service, ensuring a memorable and hospitable guest experience.
Food & Beverage Quality Control:
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and service to maintain high-quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and best practices.
- Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to develop innovative and seasonal menus.
Budgeting & Cost Management:
- Manage catering budgets, control costs, and optimize revenue while maintaining quality.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure the best pricing on ingredients and event essentials.
- Monitor inventory levels and minimize waste through efficient planning.
Client Relations & Sales:
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and private customers to drive repeat business.
- Create catering proposals and contracts, ensuring clarity on pricing, logistics, and service expectations.
- Handle client feedback professionally and implement improvements to enhance service.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all catering operations comply with health and safety regulations.
- Train staff on food handling procedures, allergen awareness, and emergency response protocols.
- Maintain catering equipment and venues in optimal condition.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelorโs degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in catering management, food service, or F&B operations.
- Strong knowledge of menu planning, dietary restrictions, and food presentation.
- Experience in budget management, cost control, and vendor negotiations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
