My client is an independent fresh produce businesses in the UK and Europe. Driven by a keen entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for great tasting, high-quality fresh produce, we source and ripen homegrown and imported produce as well as growing on our own farms throughout the world.\\n We pride ourselves on being a sustainable and responsible business, supporting communities at home and around the world and re-investing our profits in our future development to ensure a brighter future for our employees, suppliers and customers. \\n\\nThe role is key to business functionality and will give responsibility, training and development as you work with our suppliers around the world in addition to our customers, including the UKs major retailers.\\n \\nThe role will include national and international travel for the business. This will include visiting and auditing suppliers, packhouses and farms worldwide.

The role gives the opportunity to gain first-hand experiences and development within the technical team of a fresh produce business.\\n Task areas include but are not limited to:\\n \\nUnderstanding and decision making of product quality and seasonality \\nSupport the due diligence system taking responsibility for the maintenance of supplier records \\nSupporting the supply base by engaging in ethical, sustainability and quality requirements and documenting actions and development. \\nInternal reporting for both customers and suppliers dealing with all stakeholders and MWW systems. \\nSupport on internal audits \\nAuditing and visiting suppliers on international trips\\nAttendance at customer facing meetings to support wider team \\nLeading supplier relationships, KPIs and development \\nManagement of customers specifications and communication to all relevant parties where appropriate, including management of our customers databases as required \\nLead as a product specialist and support new product development \\nCompleting sample preparation & benchmarking \\nMonthly internal and external KPI summaries \\nAny other ad hoc duties \\nApplicants must have good written and verbal communication skills, be computer literate with good knowledge of Excel.
