Associate Director – Supply Chain & Procurement

Due to an internal promotion, my client is looking to attract into the team an experienced Production Manager to lead and manage factory operations in order to achieve key objectives in Safety, Cost, Quality, and Delivery, while ensuring exceptional service to customers.

With major investment continuing at this manufacturing giant, there is plenty of opportunity to make your mark.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure health and safety at all times.
2. Control operational costs within set budgets.
3. Ensure compliance with Quality Standards and drive continuous improvement.
4. Oversee production performance, ensuring targets are met efficiently.
5. Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques such as 5S, SMED, OCM to eliminate waste and enhance performance.
6. Coach, guide and manage a team of circa 80.
7. Track, measure, and act on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
8. Provide clear direction and brief teams on operational priorities.
9. Lead by example with high personal and professional standards.
10. Maintain a strong customer focus across all teams.
11. Identify and address training needs of direct reports.

Qualifications

1. Proven experience in manufacturing sectors.
2. Strong leadership and team development skills.
3. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
4. Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and drive efficiency.
5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
