A specialist ground-investigation specialist based in the Aberdeen area is looking for a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team. This company delivers a full range of geotechnical and geo-environmental services across Scotland – from small residential sites to major commercial and civil-engineering projects – supported by an in-house laboratory and a fleet of modern drilling rigs.
The Graduate Geotechnical Engineer Role
You will play a key part in delivering site-investigation projects, combining fieldwork, lab work and office-based reporting. Responsibilities include:
Assisting with planning and delivering intrusive ground investigations.
Logging soil, rock and samples to industry standards.
Supervising on-site drilling operations and coordinating with drilling teams.
Gathering and organising field data and supporting the production of factual reports.
Taking part in monitoring, sampling and occasional post-site visits.
The Graduate Geotechnical Engineer selected will be:
Degree-qualified in Geology, Earth Science, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Science or a similar discipline.
In possession of a full UK driving licence.
Live in or near to Aberdeen.
Have a full right to work in the UK.
Confident communicating with colleagues, drillers and clients.
