Dyfi Plants Nursery Manager

Dyfi Plants is a brand-new plant nursery specializing in unusual and useful plants for resilient edible growing projects. With a focus on perennial vegetables, herbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees, our mission is to empower growers and support community projects by donating 1 plant for every 10 sold.

This diverse role offers a chance to oversee the core elements of the nursery, including plant propagation and care, packaging orders, and on-site sales. Ongoing care and maintenance of plants to ensure the highest standards

Take the lead in processing and packaging mail orders for shipping

Ensure plants are accurately labelled, documented, and ready for sale

Engage in in-person sales at the nursery site and local markets

Horticultural Experience: A solid foundation in plant care and propagation

Attention to Detail: Precision in labelling, documenting, and packaging plants

Full Driver’s License: For flexibility and occasional market trips

Adaptable and Resilient: Thrives in a physically demanding environment and is adaptable to changing priorities

Passion for Plants: A deep and genuine enthusiasm for horticulture

Communication Skills: Clear and effective in both spoken and written communication

Desirables

Familiarity with Plant Passports and documentation

RHS Level 2 or equivalent qualifications

Amateur photography experience for capturing plant images

Previous experience working in a plant nursery or horticultural experience

Retail experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
