Senior Fire Engineer

Fire Engineer – Remote with Onsite Work | £60K-£85K

A leading independent property and safety risk consultancy is looking for an experienced Fire Engineer to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, providing expert fire safety consultancy across commercial and residential buildings.

The role is remote with onsite work as required, ideally London-based, though candidates from other UK locations will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce fire strategy reports and fire safety management plans for new and existing buildings.
• Identify fire-related risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Design and advise on fire safety systems, including alarms, sprinkler systems, and emergency escape routes.
• Conduct site inspections and provide expert guidance to clients, architects, and local authorities.
• Stay updated on fire regulations and legislation, ensuring compliance with ADB, BS9999, BS9991, and other guidance.
• Support project delivery, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members and contribute to business development.

Requirements:

• Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers (MIFireE).
• Degree (BEng, BSc, MSc) in Fire Engineering or Fire Safety.
• 5+ years of experience in fire strategy reporting and consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of UK fire regulations and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Willingness to travel for client site visits as needed.
