Due to continued growth in the region of their Data Centre division, our client is now seeking experienced Mechanical Design Engineers. As Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of mechanical systems creating efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable mechanical solutions that comply with project requirements, industry standards, and regulations.
This role will be offered on flexible/ work from home set up (3 days working from home and 2 days in the office).
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

Analyse project requirements and specifications to determine the project’s scope and develop a detailed mechanical design system.

Emphasise health & safety policies in site & procedures, conduct regular safety inspection, risk assessment, and provide training as needed.

Assist in the planning and execution of tests to verify design functionality, reliability, and adherence to safety standards.

Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to develop timelines, budgets, and resource allocations including design integration and alignment.

Develop and implement testing protocols to evaluate and validate mechanical systems and components.

Continuously evaluate existing processes and systems for potential improvements in efficiency, performance, and cost.

Prepare detailed weekly mechanical engineering reports, including design changes, testing results, and performance metrics.

Participate in meetings and highlight key milestones and any challenges encountered in project development.

Degree/qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.

5+ years of experience as Mechanical Engineer within construction, within mechanical, electrical, and CSA projects.

Effective communication skills with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information clearly.

Proficiency in Microsoft products and relevant software and tools.
