About the role: The Technology Technician role (known internally as Technology Resource Technician) is based at Oakwood High School, Rotherham, South Yorkshire, S60 2UH. Working hours - 37 hours per week, term time plus. We offer a positive working environment, we care about our learners, and we care about our staff, all of whom know and appreciate that. The successful Technology Technician will have the opportunity to be part of this, contributing to this culture and developing it further. Key Duties: The successful Technology Technician will:

  • Support pupils and staff: preparation of Technology related resources
  • Provide technical support for the Technology department as part of the school Technician team
  • Work under the direction and instruction of the Learning Zone Coordinator to provide an efficient technical support service to Innovate Learning Zone

About you: The successful Technology Technician should have:

  • GCSE A* - C or equivalent of 9 – 4 in Science, English and Maths
  • Science qualification at an appropriate level
  • Good understanding of ICT
  • Strong communication skills
